We're Proud of Salina's Transformation

One of the largest and most transformative projects in the 160-year history of Salina is in the final phase of construction.

A completely redesigned cityscape has revitalized the historic downtown district.

We are in the final phase of construction. We’ve attracted new entertainment, a 5-story hotel, shops, restaurants and loft apartments to invigorate Downtown Salina. Construction is currently underway on a classic automotive museum, improvements to the Stiefel Theatre and more new retail spaces.

Salina 2020 - Salina, Kansas

We are in the final phase of construction. We’ve attracted new entertainment, a 5-story hotel, shops, restaurants and loft apartments to invigorate Downtown Salina. Construction is currently underway on a classic automotive museum, improvements to the Stiefel Theatre and more new retail spaces.

The project has great momentum.

Since the $12 million dollar Salina Fieldhouse opened in 2017, the streets, sidewalks, and plazas have been reconfigured to make Downtown more inviting. The Downtown District has welcomed many new additions to attract locals and out of town visitors, alike.

The historic Stiefel Theatre has re-created the tower and spire that was part of the theatre’s original construction in 1931. A group of local car enthusiasts is constructing a $5 million auto museum. The KU School of Medicine and Nursing has completed an $8 million renovation of the former Bank of America building.
