On April 9, 2018, KSAL reported the launch of one of Salina’s most transformative development projects in the history of the city. With a ceremonial gathering, business and civic leaders, along with members of the Salina 2020 organization, united to celebrate the beginning of the historic downtown Salina revitalization. With updates including the narrowing of Sante Fe Avenue from a four-lane street to a three-lane street, in addition to replacing waterlines and pavement removals to open up patio seating for businesses, the over $160 million public-private partnership will shape the future of the city.
